I first met Simon in June 2010 just before I retired later that year. I wish I had met him earlier! I thought I had positioned myself quite well for retirement, but Simon's advice and support ensured that I maximised my income streams as well as ensuring other areas, such as my Estate planning, were fully covered. Simon's financial advice, combined with his enthusiastic approach and friendly service, has encouraged me to recommend him to a number of close friends who have all been similarly impressed. Our association with Dino began about two (2) years from my proposed retirement from work. I had previously sought financial advice from an ‘industry’ provider which proved wasted and costly. I was looking for someone to provide advice ‘for me’ as opposed to some generalised statements and any ongoing advice which was tied to customer pre-payments. From the commencement of our relationship I found Dino to be very knowledgeable of the economic circumstances and investment opportunities. Importantly for me Dino had a comprehensive understanding of my position as a public servant with over 30 years of contributions to Super SA under the Government Pension Scheme. Following considerable consultation, we agreed on a pre-retirement plan which incorporated voluntary super contributions, personal savings and taxation minimisation benefits. In addition, my wife’s superannuation arrangements were also included and a very comprehensive, step-by-step detailed plan was produced for us by Dino. A planned retirement date was set and our retirement financial positioning plan commenced. The result upon retirement, a modest investment portfolio as part rollover from Super SA, fortnightly super payments for comfortable living in retirement and substantial taxation minimisation benefits over the journey. In summary, I have found Dino to be very professional and knowledgeable in all facets of financial management. He has gained our trust; he is always available to answer any of our concerns and provides timely updates of any changing circumstance in the economic environment. With Dino’s help we have transitioned to retirement smoothly and without worry (very important obviously). Today, after three (3) years in retirement, every financial aspect has gone to Dino’s original plan which now sees us financially comfortable day to day and with some wealth growth. We have no worries at all financially with virtually no risk in the future. A position we could not have arrived at without Dino’s assistance. We have recommended Dino to many of our friends and past work colleagues and all have told us of a similar outcome.

Simon Allanson has been our financial adviser since 2009 and has put in place strategies to maximise cash flow and minimise tax. He has impressed us by his sincere and absolute honesty relating changes to the market trends and government changes which have an effect on our super. Also he has been proactive in advising changes to maximise our income and taken the worry and uncertainty from trying to understand the financial market. Retirement is 24/7 so who wants to start a new high risk career of managing our own finances when there are so many other things to do! Simon, Partners & Staff have always treated us with respect as though we were members of their personal family – We and our family are very grateful and could not ask for better service.

Daniel D’Amato has been our financial advisor for many years.
